Tricolt Property Development is proud to announce that ground has been broken at one of Johannesburg’s most exciting residential developments, Tree Tops Houghton. Earthworks officially started in February of this year, and we were finally able to celebrate this with a breaking ground ceremony on Tuesday, the 18th of August 2020.
The ceremony was well attended by various stakeholders involved in the project. Excited shareholders, sales agents, the developers and construction team as well as members of the press all gathered at the site. The lowering of the Lockdown to Level 2 allowed for the occasion to be marked with a champagne toast!
“I think it’s a fantastic achievement to get a project of this scale and nature into the ground, especially during these strange and troubled times. Fortunately for us, the market has supported us tremendously. Coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, my business partner David Nagle said to me that we should target to have three new projects in the ground before the end of October. This obviously seemed like an insurmountable task while we were all locked up at home, but we decided to up our marketing spend, be a little more strategic in terms of who we were marketing to, and this week we’re proud to be handing over the 131 Tree Tops apartments to the appointed construction company, Trencon,” said Tim Kloeck, CEO of Tricolt and proud developer of Tree Tops.
Located at the intersection of two of Johannesburg’s best neighbourhoods, Rosebank and Houghton, Tree Tops will offer exquisite luxury apartments designed and finished to the impeccable standards Tricolt has become synonymous with.
“At Tree Tops, as with every Tricolt product, the quality and level of finish is second to none. We only use the best in our developments, and you can easily see yourself living here. We spend an inordinate amount of time on our dimensions to make sure we get the sizes of the rooms right to ensure comfortable spaces throughout. You can see it particularly in the bathrooms, where we have large, luxury sized showers with frameless glass, bespoke custom built cabinetry and high quality luxury fittings and brassware,” continued Kloeck.
Tricolt has quickly established themselves as a major player in the luxury residential development space with a proven track record for delivering impeccable apartments. Tree Tops Houghton is the latest apartment development to be adorned with Tricolt’s Midas touch, following similar successes at The Houghton Apartments, Ellipse Waterfall and Brookfield at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club, to name a few.
“Tricolt is becoming well known as a quality, well-designed, luxury apartment brand. We often see our purchasers coming through our doors with competitors’ brochures and pamphlets, but in the end they sign with us. We design spaces to live in, not just for investors, and a lot of our purchasers are buying to live as well as to invest. Tricolt gives investors and purchasers fantastic capital appreciation as well as good return on investment,” concluded Kloeck.
In addition to the luxurious apartments on offer, the Tree Tops Houghton precinct will also feature some incredible amenities, which include a Fitzone gym, lap pool, braai area, manicured gardens, club house, sky bar and state of the art security. This appealing value proposition, coupled with the incredible location and the record low interest rate, has seen sales at the development exceed all expectations. The expert sales team at AB Props (Alan Becker Properties), led by Warren Becker, has managed to bring in over R200 million in sales to date, with only a handful of units still available for and deluxe three bedroom units remain. “There has been significant interest in the larger units, especially from people looking to downscale from homes in the area, and tellingly, a large number of buyers have indicated that they are buying to live in rather than to rent out, signifying the value of the offering at Tree Tops,” added Andrew Morris, Director at Time Works Projects and Project Manager of Tree Tops.
Previously, the commonly accepted ‘Three L’s’ of property were ‘Location, Location, Location.’ Tree Tops Houghton proudly puts it’s own spin on this old cliché, and embodies the new ‘Three L’s’ of property: Location, Luxury and Lifestyle. Within walking distance of Rosebank’s vibrant CBD, while remaining quietly tucked away in an enclave of Houghton, Tree Tops Houghton is set to be another impeccable feather in Tricolt’s already illustrious cap.
